To celebrate the summertime, I have used a variety of techniques to create this statement necklace.
The central piece is made using a thick structure wire, which I have attached gemstone flowers, buds and leaves to. The flowers are made with 5 purple Fluorite briolette petals and a circular Ametrine stone in the center. The buds are purple Fluorite briolettes and the leaves are green striped Onyx, all of which are wrapped with copper wire. I have accented this floral explosion with green Aventurine and copper beads of varying sizes, to create an asymmetrical design.
This central piece is connected to two lengths of 6 loop double knit Viking chain, which I have finished with handmade wire caps and green Aventurine beads. The necklace is finished with a handmade hook clasp and link, which I have embellished with Green Aventurine and copper beads.
The whole necklace measures 17 1/2", with the central piece measuring 5 1/2".
