For Love - His and Hers pendants

Notes

When my Brother told me he was getting engaged I thought to myself I will make them 'his and hers' pendants to mark the occasion. There were several criteria that I wanted the pendants to meet:
1 - I wanted them to be a pair
2 - They had to symbolise love and unity
3 - one had to be suitable for a guy
4 - they had to be simple designs

Quite straight forward you would think. Well these babies took me over 2 months to design!!!! I really struggled with jewellery for a boy. In the end my partner helped me, by suggesting putting them inside circles.

The one for a girl is 2 interlocking hearts (my own design) to represent their engagement, surrounded by a circle which is a symbol of love and unity.

The one for a boy is a Celtic love knot, surrounded by a circle.

I was a bit worried when I posted them off, as this is the first piece of man jewellery I have made and my brother doesn't exactly wear a lot of sparkly things.

Well I couldn't have got any more fluky!! My brother is a rock drummer and it turns out that this little pattern was John Bonham's symbol on Led Zeplin's album AND Dave Grohl has it tattooed on his arm. Needless to say he was very happy with it and put it straight on - phew!!!!
