I have finally done it!!! This is my necklace for my Brother and his fiancée's wedding (which is next week) talk about cutting it fine!!!This baby took some serious brain strain, as I wanted the pendant to hang on the Viking knit chain at a slant, so I had to get the balance in weight exactly right, but I got there and I am really pleased with the finished piece.
I have used many different techniques in the construction, including hammering, layering, weaving and binding. The eye of the feather has a 3D element and is raised in a dome effect from the rest of the piece, drawing your eye to the faceted Amethyst.
The pendant is 3 1/4" long and 1 1/3" wide and the chain is 17" long.
