The necklaces can be doubled up to wear as double strand, chunky bracelets too!
I was asked by Gareth Williams, Curator of the British Museum, to make some Viking knit chains with dragon heads, ready for this years Viking events at Tutbury Castle. I thought it would be nice to offer a selection of this unisex design for sale here too!
The heads are 1 1/8" long and 1/2" wide. The large ring acts as the clasp, with a hinged section, connecting the heads together through the dragons mouth.
The Viking knit chain is 3/16" wide and made using 9 loops. The necklace is 18" long with an inside circumference of 16", when fastened.
Made with silver plated wire and clasp, you have all the beauty of sterling silver, without the price tag! However, with time and wear, at the points of friction, the silver plating may wear off, exposing the copper core.
This item comes in a jewellery box.
